Today’s Best Bets

NBA Best Bets

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Golden State Warriors @ San Antonio Spurs

  • Leg 1: Devin Vassell Over 21.5 Points (-113)
  • Leg 2: Jeremy Sochan Over 6.5 Rebounds (-122)
  • Leg 3: Victor Wembanyama Over 1.5 Threes (-164)

Although Devin Vassell didn’t play in San Antonio’s most recent game, he’s probable for tonight. Vassell has averaged 19.5 points per game this season. However, he’s added 23 points per matchup through three games in March. He also just scored 30 points against the Kings, shooting 11-for-18 from the field in 39 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Warriors rank dead last in points allowed to shooting guards this season.

On the other hand, Jeremy Sochan has earned 6.2 rebounds per game. However, lately, he’s seen an increase in his rebound production. Through four games this month, he’s added 7.3 rebounds, with eight rebounds in three of those four games. The Warriors are also dead last in rebounds allowed to power forwards. It’s likely Sochan will add eight or more rebounds again tonight.

Finally, it’s not a Spurs parlay unless you add Victor Wembanyama. He’s nailed at least two threes in four consecutive games and will make his return to the court for the first time since Tuesday. He’s added at least two threes in 75% of his last 20 games and has hit this line in eight of his previous 10 games.

Parlay Odds: +400

NHL Best Bets

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

St. Louis Blues @ Boston Bruins

The Blues’ offense has been awful for the whole season, and you’re seeing it during their losing streak. They’ve dropped the last three, scoring three goals in that span and averaging just 23.6 shots per game. Jordan Binnington has lost back-to-back decisions, allowing eight goals. While the surface numbers are good, he tends to get streaky and have long, regressive runs.

The Bruins are getting points, and that’s what matters. They’ve come away with a point in 12 of 14 games, and while it hasn’t always resulted in a win, it’s kept them near the top of the Eastern Conference. It should be Jeremy Swayman between the pipes, and he’s been a better goalie for Boston with a 2.45 GAA and a .922 save percentage.

It’s hard to imagine a Blues offense that’s been so bad lately getting production off him.

Bet: Bruins -1.5 (+112)

Big 12 Tournament

It isn’t every day you get Kansas at such odds in the Big 12 Tournament. Despite the worst Big 12 season under Bill Self, this is still a dangerous team with a reasonable path to the finals. Assuming they get past West Virginia or Cincinnati, they split with Baylor in the regular season. The Bears depend a lot on the three-ball, so in their first tourney game on a neutral court, there’s a good chance Baylor doesn’t shoot well and stalls. When Kansas lost to Iowa State, the Cyclones almost shot 50% from deep, making 14 threes.

Of course, the elephant in the room is Hunter Dickinson’s injury status. Right now, I can’t say it’s looking great, but that’s why the value is so fantastic. With a couple of days to heal, I am deciding to be optimistic. There is a big risk-reward aspect here, but with Bill Self’s tenure and the brand that he has built, you could see them making a run, couldn’t you?
