Rutschman is by far Baltimore’s best hitter against Nestor Cortes across their respective careers. He’s hitting .538 across 16 at-bats with 8 hits and a double. There’s a chance we could be in for a multi-hit game from Rutschman (Odds +190 on DK).

Henderson, as has been stated, has struggled against Cortes across his career. He’s had a high propensity for strikeouts this season anyway and he’s performing on the road tonight.

New York Yankees vs. Baltimore Orioles Prediction (June 18)

I love the over in this matchup. The Yankees and Orioles are the 2 best offensive teams in the league and neither starting pitcher is likely to go past 5 innings or so (especially with Cortez pitching 7.1 his last outing on Thursday). Yankees ML is not a bad play either for those looking to play the outcome, though there is some risk involved at -150.

The Yankees need this series win after dropping 2 to the Red Sox and 2 to the Dodgers a week ago. With them returning home to Yankee Stadium and the Orioles exhausted having just played the monster Phillies (also, 2-2 in their last 4 all at home), the momentum seems to be pointing slightly in New York’s favor.
