The Green Bay Packers shocked the NFL world following the Davante Adams trade to the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday in exchange for a first-and second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Due to a serious salary-cap crunch, the Packers could not come to terms with the five-time Pro Bowl and two-time All Pro receiver on a long-term deal, which led to placing him as a franchise tag in 2022.
Seeing one of the most dangerous wide receivers in the league on the loose, Las Vegas did not miss on the opportunity of signing the star receiver on a $141.25 million record-breaking contract, making him the NFL’s highest-paid wide receiver.
The All-Pro receiver, who set new franchise records in catches and receiving yards last season, catching 238 passes and scoring 29 receiving touchdowns, will reunite with his college teammate Derek Carr in Las Vegas.

Despite knowing that Adams would depart the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers re-signed a $150 million deal with Green Bay, making him officially the league’s highest-paid quarterback.
